IPOB Bans Rearing, Consumption Of Cows In South East

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has banned the breeding and consumption of cows in all the southeastern states

This was contained in a statement issued by the IPOB Head of State Directorate (DOS), Mazi Chika Edoziem, in Awka, Anambra State, on Saturday.

Mazi Edoziem, however, said the ban would take effect in full after six months.

According to him, "from that date no more Fulani cows will be allowed in Biafraland for any reason, not for burials, title-taking, weddings, etc."

He added that from now on only the local breed "would be consumed and used for all ceremonies in Biafraland."
